“Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.”– Leo F. Buscaglia
The Tarot of the Spirit can always be relied on for focusing in on the issue at hand, even when my mood is escapism because what is at hand is too painful and worrying to deal with. For today’s Tarot Soul Coaching draw for myself, I didn’t have a question; I simply asked for guidance for the day ahead. Something – anything – to help me make it through the day.
Of course, the Tarot of the Spirit knows that I am worrying about something – a longstanding situation concerning a financial issue and one I feel I have very little power to influence – so it is asking me to address the toxic energy of worry itself, as well as to do what I can to sort things out. No escape for me today, with The Nadir (trad. 5 of Pentacles) as my guide!
You are experiencing a sense of worry; you have helped to produce a reality in which your own deep truths are denied; you experience a sense of alienation (…) it is time to rearrange your life in such a way that your heart and spirit are rewarded; this is the essence of healing and making things right.~ Pamela Eakins (The Nadir from the Tarot of The Spirit Companion Book)
The situation is Kafkaesque in the extreme and much like a recurring nightmare. Though I am not in the wrong, it keeps coming back to bite me, to the point where I have been praying for this to be resolved in a court of law once and for all.
I have tried to get the accuser to make good on their threat of legal action several times over the past nine years and every time they fall back because they know that once it does go to court it is game over for them. Instead they keep sending out more and more letters each year, escalating the threat levels throughout the year – usually culminating around the Holiday season.
When/if they finally do proceed with legal action, I have promised to make a counter claim of harassment. I have very good grounds for this, so I’m not worried about the ultimate outcome… but my God – I just want this to be over!
Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”Isaiah 35:4
