Earlier today, I posted my review of the Chakra Wisdom Tarot so I won’t talk about how this Tarot deck is different from a regular Tarot deck here in this post. Suffice it to say that the differences are significant enough to correspond with a complete paradigm shift in terms of consciousness levels… and yet, oddly, you can use it just as you would a regular Tarot deck too.
I have started pulling a daily card for myself from this deck for the kind of Tarot Healing that was the sole/soul reason for me getting involved with the Tarot in a professional capacity in the first instance. The Chakra Wisdom Tarot has definitely reignited my desire to do chakra healing work with the Tarot. As some of you know, seven years ago, I did a mini video series about chakra healing with the Tarot. It’s time to dive back in… but from a more mature perspective!
For each of the seven chakras, there are 11 Chakra Wisdom Tarot cards that have been colour-coded to correspond. The card you see above, with the yellow border, is for the solar plexus chakra, where we find all the Tarot 3’s, the 10’s, The High Priestess, The Hermit, and The Tower.
This is an extremely enlightening grouping for me if I look at the deep Manipura wounding I received when my dad punched me in the solar plexus when I was 12 years old, lying in my bed. Apparently, my sister and I had been giggling too loudly when he was trying to sleep… I think of it as getting soul punched because though I survived the blow (though for a long few minutes when I could not breathe I thought I might not), my desire to manifest my destiny died that day. It is only today, and only thanks to the Chakra Wisdom Tarot, that I have come to understand exactly what happened energetically that day.
Not only do I see very clearly what happened in my energy field but I also see the patterns that started forming around that soul injury. The mistrust that grew like fungus from the wound. Not feeling supported. The inability to persevere at… well, anything really. The pattern of drifting from relationship to relationship, as well as the tendency to isolate myself. The lack of belief in myself and my ability to produce anything useful.
On a physical level, the soul punch lead to feeling cut off from my own body. Autoimmune issues, including severe digestive problems (The Hermit) and impaired vision followed. Chronic insomnia. Anger issues were par for the course (The Tower).
On the plus side, without this soul punch, I might not have taken the path I ended up on, as a Tarot Reader (The High Priestess). I might not have had to navigate so many lessons of the 3’s and the 10’s (the 3 of Swords, 3 of Cups, 10 of Swords and 10 of Wands in particular), which might have made me less compassionate and empathetic toward others who struggle with similar lessons.
I look at the image above and I see me, ready to reclaim my Manipura power… and I feel ecstatic.
There were many tears this morning and a huge clearing out of the third chakra. I’m forever changed thanks to the insights I gained from this one-card draw and simply contemplating the group of cards that has been paired with the third chakra.
I will continue to work this deck for both myself and my clients and I’m super excited about what healing insights are waiting to come through!
