My Chariot Year So Far + 21-Day Positivity Challenge

Is it possible to turn your life around completely in only a few months? 2019 is a Chariot year for me in terms of Tarot year card numerology, so I suppose if any year was going to qualify for massive, rapid improvement it would be this year.

How My Life Changed So Far in 2019

What are some of the things that have changed for me this year? We’re in July 2019 and the recent eclipses have provided even more clarity so now feels like a good time to take stock…

Interestingly, many of the lessons I’m mastering now are indeed related to the solar plexus chakra (corresponding with The Chariot), boundaries and personal power:

  • I have a sense of personal power
  • I am more accepting of my shortcomings
  • I respect and look after myself, in every area of my life
  • I have forgiven old grievances by people who didn’t respect me
  • My emotions are more balanced
  • I truly believe in my ability to have a positive impact in the world and that I’m doing what I was put on Earth to do
  • I trust the Universe and my guides completely
  • I relax into the NOW more and more
  • I like what I see when I look at myself in the mirror
  • I’m filled with a sense of gratitude and abundance
  • My mind is clear and creativity flows easily
  • My boundaries are sound – I surround myself only with positive people
  • My vitality levels have gone way up
  • I have maintained effortlessly at my ideal weight for the past three months
  • I see the best in everyone
  • I feel loved and supported
  • I don’t get pulled into arguments or feel a need to prove that I’m right (this changed very gradually for me this year – I used to be very reactive on social media and identified with the Knight of Swords a lot)

So how did I achieve this more balanced and empowered state? On my solar return this year, I got disciplined, just like the charioteer. I started with what sustained me: food and drink. I eliminated the foods I knew were slowly poisoning me (grains turned out to be the worst ‘baddy’ for me). I cut out all sugary drinks and alcohol.

A few weeks after that, I committed to a daily yoga practice, followed by to committing to a daily meditation practice as well not long after. It’s not that I never meditated before this but I just didn’t have a routine and it wasn’t as much a priority, as – let’s be honest – hanging out on social media or complaining about all the horrible things happening in the world.

I’ve been practising faithfully every day for most of 2019 and recently, I have started adding in listening to positive affirmations first thing in the morning as well as falling asleep to self-hypnosis tracks that encourage positive thinking. The latter is really helping me to open up to life’s abundance and goodness in new and unexpected ways – I’m loving it!

One after one, I have replaced bad habits and negative thinking with good, healthy habits and positive affirmations. Now, when I look over my shoulder at the past, I feel that I’m looking back at a life I barely recognise as my own. I’m in a good place and when stuff happens that I don’t instantly feel able to label as good, I meet that stuff with equanimity, centre myself and raise my vibration back up because I have faith in the infinite goodness of the Universe; I trust life and I trust myself.

The 21-Day Positivity Challenge

This morning, I woke up and felt inspired to inspire positive change. One of the things I learned this year is that how we start our day truly sets the tone for the rest of the day, so the best habit to implement straight away (if you haven’t done so already), is to start the day with programming your mind for positivity. There are lots of ways of doing this but not everybody likes to do yoga or meditate, so I thought to myself, ‘What is the easiest, most positive thing that everyone can do instantly to begin moving in a more positive direction?’

The answer is listen to either positive affirmations or a guided meditation/visualisation as soon as you wake up in the morning. Do this before you start scrolling your social media feed or feed the cat. Do it for at least 10 minutes and do it for 21 days straight. Observe the changes that begin to happen and keep a journal!

Just One New Habit

Just one new, positive habit could be the snowball that starts that avalanche of positivity and abundance in your life. You’re worth it. You deserve to not operate on autopilot in life. You are worthy of more than a reactive lifestyle. You deserve to feel completely empowered and in charge of your destiny.

Best of all, this new habit that I’m prescribing today is completely free if you are already able to read this. You can find plenty of free positive affirmation and guided visualisation videos on YouTube and elsewhere online.

Personally, I find that the voice vibration has to be a good match but there are so many different recordings out there to choose from that this will most likely not be a problem.

Re-wire Your Mind this Rx-Season

I know some people love to hate on retrogrades but trust me, you’ll do much better in life if you learn to love them! Mercury (along with Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Neptune and Chiron!) is retrograde so there really isn’t a better time to begin rewiring your mind for more positivity.

If someone like me, a childhood trauma and CPTSD sufferer who spent decades of her life in survival mode can do it, then so can you! We are not our story. We are divine. We are one with infinite power and creativity. We just forgot.
