Our Shem angel of the day, Mitzrael, rules the second quinance (five days) of third decan Capricorn. The planetary ruler is Sol.
4 of Pentacles
The 4 of Pentacles has sadly been slapped with the misnomer, ‘The Miser’ by many Tarot readers who do not think to dig a bit deeper. Personally, I much prefer ‘Power’ as a title for this card – Indeed, this is the title Aleister Crowley chose for his Thoth Tarot 4 of Disks.
All 4’s correspond to the sephira Chesed (Mercy) on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. The number 4 lends stability to the Elemental energy. There is no energy more stable (or better suited as a foundation) than the 4 of Earth/Disks/Pentacles.
On a mundane level, of course, the 4 of Pentacles can lead to miserliness but when we are sanctified by Love, it expresses itself as sacrificial power – more than willing and capable to carry the burdens of many, and to lay the foundation for great works.
Possibly, the best question to ponder with the 4 of Pentacles as our daily Tarot Soul Coaching draw is, ‘What can I do to create more stability in my life?’
The stability we cannot find in the world, we must create within our own persons.
~ Nathaniel Branden
Mitzrael (Mem Tzadik Resh) is the 60th of the 72 Shemhamphorash and his name means ‘God Who Liberates the Oppressed.’
Invoke him for help with healing of any kind, as well as to live in peace with all the world. The hour of invocation is 1.20-1.40 AM.
Mitzrael can help keep our mind centred on the pervasive harmony of Creation, especially when we are being tested and feel as if the rug is being pulled out from under our feet. He can help us keep climbing ever higher on our spiritual path.
The corresponding verse from Psalms:
The Lord is rigtheous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works. (Ps. 145:17 KJV)
