“Confidence comes from discipline and training.”Robert Kiyosaki
For the 2019 Equinox Intermittent Fasting Challenge, I have chosen ‘I belong’ as my affirmation. My main spiritual development goal over the next 21 days is to create a sense of community – A spirit of ‘Namaste’ with all people on my path. To do this, I have to break through a thick barrier of self-imposed isolation and hiding inside my comfort zone.
My sense of not belonging stems back to very early childhood abuse and abandonment, with concomitant PTSD.
The reason I chose to work with the Phantasmagoric Theater Tarot for this challenge is that I believe it helps me to not take myself too seriously. It’s also a great reminder that we all struggle with feeling like we are a good fit with society at times… and that we must begin by accepting our own quirks and foibles rather than waiting for validation from the outside.
The Cyan card from the Secret Language of Color Cards gives me an overall message from Spirit about the day ahead. It was based on this message and the three Tarot cards that followed, I picked the quote you see at the top of the post.
Based on my own experience so far, I believe that the discipline of intermittent fasting is one of the fastest ways to build confidence. It seems to me that the King of Swords (Mind) and Knight of Pentacles (Body) chime in with this statement. The Knight of Pentacles is also reminding me of this verse in the Gospel of Luke:
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much.Luke 16:10
The Empress in the position of Spirit is a green light that any form of creative expression will also boost my confidence levels and help me connect with the right people.
