Our Shem angel of the day, Cahetel, ruler of the second quinance (five days) of first decan Taurus. The planetary ruler is Mercury. If you look closely, you can see the glyph for Mercury at the top of the inverted pentagram.
5 of Disks
The 5 of Disks / Pentacles is a card associated with poverty, poor health and poverty consciousness, as well as about the worry about all these things. The Golden Dawn title is Lord of Material Trouble.
In the Thoth Tarot, we don’t get many immediately apparent visual clues about what is going on, though the title ‘Worry’ is telling. However, the inverted Pentagram for Geburah and the fact that we are in a Fixed Earth sign tells us that we are blinded to any spiritual reality, focused only on the darkness of this world.
What we see in this card according to Lon Milo DuQuette is the victory of matter over spirit. If we look more closely, this is actually very cleverly depicted in Frieda’s artwork, where we see five gear wheels – an indication of a mechanistic view of the Universe.
The Tarot Soul Coaching question we might like to ruminate on today is, ‘How can I turn all my troubles over to the Divine and become the willing recipient of the abundance inherent in oneness with God?’
“When I chased after money, I never had enough. When I got my life on purpose and focused on giving of myself and everything that arrived into my life, then I was prosperous.”
~ Wayne Dyer
Cahetel (Kaf Hey Tau) is the 8th of the 72 Shemhamphorash and his title is ‘The Adorable God.’ Kaf corresponds with The Wheel of Fortune, Hey with The Emperor and Tau with The World.
Cahetel rules over all agricultural production that humans and animals need to survive on Earth. The hour of invocation is 2.20-2.40 AM.
Meditating on this God-name can help us overcome the worry associated with the 5 of Disks. It dispels all forms of negativity, including the darkness of the mind of the separate self. Positive energy begins to permeate your being to the very core when you meditate on this name.
The corresponding verse from Psalms:
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. (Ps. 80:19 KJV)
