Yes, you can have it all. Just not now. Discomfort and deprivation are part and parcel of Earth school or you wouldn’t need to be here. You are here for the lessons, as much as you are here to shine your light. 

The lessons are all about love. Every. Single. One. If we could only love our way through them all, we would quickly get a pass from the Powers That Be. And that still would not qualify us for a complete lack of painful experiences… Here on Earth they keep coming – not always as punishment but always as a way for us to open up to ever greater levels of grace and love.

Today’s draw brings us the 5 of Swords (Venus in Aquarius) and 4 of Cups (Moon in Cancer). You may feel more sensitive than usual and therefore acutely aware of your internal battles and being tested in some way. This poem is for you:

There are battles where we are armed only with tears
Vaguely fought because we have a yearning for more
This is when we are faced with our deepest fears;
We realise we have forgotten what we are for
Then, like the Hermit, we must pull back and retreat
To walk away intact is not some kind of defeat
What you thought was yours never truly was
So the bitter tears you weep are not from loss
Those tears are what need to happen to dissolve
Your ego so that you can rise up and evolve
What is yours to keep forever is only what you give
To learn this lesson is the very reason you live.

No matter where you find yourself, you are not alone or abandoned… but you must retreat now. These two cards add up to 9, The Hermit. There is at least one lesson you need to contemplate more deeply now before you can move on. There are loose ends to tie up. Perhaps you are the one who needs to ask for forgiveness or maybe you just need to walk away from a situation filled with drama.

You get to choose your response but you can only do so in a proactive way if you pull back first and prayerfully meditate on what is going on.

Peace of mind is not the absence of problems, it is the ability to take a step back and trust that you will be able to cope with them…
